OnInit getting a value

I'm creating controls on the fly for an entry form. The number of ite,ms is
determined by a drop down list. OnInit is cool because it handles the view
state. However, i can't get the value because, well, it OnInit so they are
not there yet. Session will not work for the current value. It gets the
previous value. This leaves me with storing and retreveing a client side
variable.

i will develop a perminint solution but i'd like a quick fix for now.

1. say on check changed or index changed the value gets stored
2. on Preinit the value gets reterieved.
