OS X's Project Builder: Preventing indexing of Java projects

T

tendim

Hello.

Whenever I open up an already created java project in Project Builder,
PB goes to "index" all of my .class files in the "background". However,
in doing so it slags PB to a point where it isn't useable until the
entire process is done.

Does anyone know:

- What this "indexing" is?
- If there is a way to turn it off?

I went through the preferences but couldn't find anything about it.
