Padding on a button for email clients

I am struggling to apply padding to this button for an email template, it works when I preview it on my browser but when testing and emailing it to myself it looks as such:

This is the code I have written for the button:

<button padding="10px" onclick="location.href='#" type="button" style="background-color: #214FB6; border: 0px; padding: 10px; color: white; margin-bottom: 1rem; cursor: pointer;">FIND OUT MORE</button>

I presume the email client just doesnt like padding but what is a workaround of this?

have you tried checking out how it looks with another client?
