Quick Master Page question

When I add a master page to a project, I get a blank page with a
contentplaceholder.
That's really no problem, but I saw a demo recently, and in that demo, the
guy had a choice of designs for the MasterPage from which to choose.
How can I access this?

Try (in Design View) Layout/Insert/Table - click the Template radio button
