RMI interop with JDK 1.1 and 1.4

Hello,

Our RMI clients run on MS JVM 1.1 and the Server on Sun JDK 1.3. This works
fine, with a Microsoft supported rmi.zip.

We upgraded our server to JDK 1.4, and now I am seeing some strange
marshalling and unmarshalling exceptions with detailed RMI logging. It seems
that none of the exceptions are getting sent properly.

Any ideas ?
