How about using rot13? At least it's build-in

Built in to emacs, too, unfortunately (though I've admitted all this
probably doesn't matter, see my earlier post).

Wasn't the Adobe encryption for eBooks (which Sklyarov was imprisoned
for "cracking") something close to rot13?
