Ruby AIML parser

I am trying to make a chatbot using Ruby and AIML, but I can hardly find
any library on RubyGems.org. There is a project named ProgramR, is that
good? It seems updates slowly, on account of the latest news is in 2007.
Or rebuild this wheel is a good idea?

Does it work for you? If so, I'd say use it.
