Showing BLOB-fields in ASP.NET

Hello,

I have a SQL database which stores documents, spreadsheets, pdf's,... in a
BLOB.
Is it possible to show these BLOB's to a user in a webpage?
e.g. by showing a grid with some metadata and the document as a sort of
preview
or just showing the complete document.

Is there any information on this topic on the net? I can't find any
information by googling on the subject....
Just don't know where to start.....

Any help would be appreciated.

As a concept - create a web handler (or such) to get your document(s) as
binary or text and put them into your docs as objects, such as for images
