Hi all,
I am a programmer. I have 10 years experience in programming. I
Started with pascal and cobol, and then I continue with Visual Basic
and Domino Lotus Script. The last 4 years I am working as a
programmer, creating web apps, basicaly in Lotus Domino platform. So I
am familiar with Object Oriented programming, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
etc.
I want to make the switch and start developing Enterprise Web Apps
using JSP. I am kind of confused on the learning steps as there are so
many components in Java language. How do I start? Can you please give
me a guide like:
1st. Learn Java. Use it for a year
2nd. Learn JSP. Use it for 6 months
3rd. Learn EJB.......
4th. Learn XML.......
5th. Learn JDBC.......
.....
......
.....
etc...
May be I am wrong on the way I am approaching this. Do you have any
other idea?
Also do you recommend to go to a class or try with books? Can you
recommend good classes\books for each topic (JSP, XML, EJB etc. etc.)?
Thanks in advance for any response
