Video Files Download as HTML

Hello, I have a conundrum. I run a web site from which customers
download files. One customer has attempted to download some video files
and he says that they download as html files that only have a short
line of characters. This customer says that this occurs on Mac and
Windows, in Firefox and IE. Can anyone advise?

Thanks.

Yes, you have something set up incorrectly....

Sorry. I meant to say, why would this happen to only one client?

Well, either way you pose the question: Probably not! :)

Other possibles:

- client settings in a HOSTS file
- client settings in the browsers
- client settings in a firewall

And, finally, my best shot:

"Something's broke."

Oh, and, there's about a snowball's chance in hell of us actually
knowing without a URL, or at least a lot more info.

If mime on server side is wrong, the client will still think it's the same
mime as the server said the data was sent as and will therefore act after that.

As it seems to be only one who gets this fault, the problem may lay somewhere
else, does those downloads be just a normal anchor-tag or you using some kind
of server side scripting?

Dave, happy to help. Er, not sure how I did, but, hey! I'll take it!
Not so fast buster! It was my second opinion confirming JLs that
did the trick.
