AntiXss Using Internet Access?

S

s.ferrise

We are currently using the AntiXss library in many of our classes for
multiple applications. However, we have found that for some reason,
when a method is called on it, a request is generated over port 80 to
131.107.115.28. Our web servers do not have open access out to the
internet, so I need to figure out why this access is necessary, and
what exactly it is attempting to do.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I've not used that library so I don't know exactally what it is trying to do by opening that request, but if you do a whois search on www.arin.net, you'll see it is trying to contact Microsoft.

Found this on Google.... by "Tim"

This is the Microsoft Certification Revocation List which IE is invoking
to check to see if this app's digital signature has been revoked.

You can stop this appearing by changing your IE settings

select TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS
- select ADVANCED from the new window
- scroll down to SECURITY
- uncheck "check for publishers certificate revocation"

We actually have this library being used in middle tier applications
that are not running under the IE context, thus IE settings should not
apply.

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I must apologize. I made the change in IE on our middle tier server,
and it works with no issues.

Thanks again for your help!
