application browse issue

Hi,

if i start my web project to see it in a browser, there will arise two
instances of the internet explorer process. It doesnt matter if explorer or
firefox.
Its really annoying. I tried to set a static port and to reset the "File ->
Browse with" settings. No Way.
It also doesnt refresh an existing Browser instance. It always creates 2 new
instances.

Its a nearly fresh installation. Hopefully someone can help me to solve
this, because its really really "unproductive"...
If not i will need to reinstall the system.

thanks

Check if you have two home pages set up under Internet options. it is quite
common for computers from manufacturers, who include their own sites in the
mix. If that is the issue, delete one and have a good day.

nah. that doesnt solve the issue, that VS08 starts too IE processes with the
same asp.net app... while debug mode works fine. There it runs only one
browser process...

i found the reason. The windows Live toolbar.

After disabling it everything works fine. The error is reproducible. If i
enable live toolbar again, the weird behavior is back.

Could be because of phishing filter or something like this. Try to see
if there is a new version of toolbar available.
