Authority in GoDaddy shared server DB

I have added the user to the database in the Plesk panel of the database. But in SSMS I cannot add the user to the database and it does not show now. I get a message that I am not permitted to do this. So, how do I do this? I eventually want to restrict this user to UPDATE and SELECT on a specific table. Anyone with experience with GoDaddy shared MS SQL? My last interaction with GoDaddy support and SQL did not go well.

Was told by GoDaddy that I can’t do most things in a shared MS SQL database. They pushed me to a dedicated server. Sorry, not for my tiny DB.
