Oracle Technical Consultant Contract

Oracle Technical Consultant required with an in-depth understanding of
the technologies used to develop the Oracle E-business Suite,
including the Self-service functionality as well as 'Back Office'
functions. Working alongside a team of Developers with a background in
Oracle Forms, PL/SQL and Reports development to carry out an effective
skills transfer to the team. Skills required:the use of
Oracle-supplied public API's in a custom development environment to
update core tables from extensions, which may include Forms,
Procedures, Reports and Concurrent Programs;the personalisation of
supplied Self-service screens, using the Oracle-supplied toolset;the
use of JSP, Java Servlets and BC4J to develop Self-service extensions
The purpose of the role is to supplement the documentation available
from Oracle with knowledge gained from practical experience, to enable
the team quickly to become effective users of the tools above. It
should be emphasised that an in-depth understanding is required of the
potential uses and limitations of the available tools, to enable us to
assess whether a particular piece of work is technically feasible.
