what tool to use to write ASP pages?

If what you really meant was "What tool to use to write ASP.Net pages?"
(This is an ASP.Net forum and ASP is the "Old" ways of doing things.) then
you can't go wrong with Visual Studio.Net it does everything. If you don't
want to pay for an IDE then there is a free IDE for creating ASP.Net pages
called Web Matrix you can get it here:

http://www.asp.net/webmatrix/

It does many of the same things that Visual Studio.Net does. I've never used
it myself, but I've seen forum posts which say it's pretty good.
