browse for web services problem

In Visual Studio, add web reference, browse for web services ...

When I click "uddi directory" in the "browsing for web services" panel,
a message "the proxy settings on this computer are not configured for
Web discovery" is displayed. The thing is, I dont have a firewall, so
that explanation I found on a MS support page does not apply.

The question is, how do I config my PC to browse for web services?
