There is a lot of stuff out there (of mixed quality). Did you try the
obvious place to start:

<http://www.google.com/search?q=C+coding+excercises>

A fair amount of computer science coursework is freely available this way.

I have tried, but I didn't find really a great site.
Most sites had tutorials with some excercises.
Other sites where about a book with some excercises.
But no site that focusses on the excercises for C.

Anyone else a site especially for excercises and/or sample programs in
C?

Scan through this group for a while and note in particular the
signatures of folks like Richard Heathfield, Keith Thompson, and
Chuck Falconer. At least some of them have links to their homepages
in their signature. I'm not sure how beginner-friendly they are,
but a fair amount of information can be found there.

The Internet does not contain spectacular amounts of quality
information, and you'd be much better served to pick up a book
such as "The C Programming Language" by Kernighan and Ritchie.

As Andrew said, "The C Programming Language" by Kernighan and Ritchie
is great. Probably the only book you will ever need.

Its terse to the point of being frustrating but Google pads it out.
Teh exercises do really illustrate the points.

Don't bother with mine; there are no links to C exercises on my home
page.
