duplicate java on windows

K

Kyle Lee

I am trying to include a separate java executable in my program, from
the java installed in windows OS.

Would it be allowed or generate error ?

Detecting which version of java each windows generates its own problem
and wanna see which options I have.

Any help would be helpful.

Thanks

Multiple versions of Java can easily coexist. Also on Windows.

You can both have several versions of Java installed on the same
machine, and have several different Java programs running each in its
own independent JVM. They share some DLLs, but that is transparent to
you.

And by "many people" he means "Roedy".

Likewise many people (and by "many people" I mean "Lew") consider "wanna" just
plain unprofessional lazy writing, but not insulting, at least, not to anyone
other than the writer.

Maybe Roedy consider it insulting to other people to
ask them spend time answering ones question without one
being willing to spend time phrasing the question.

But I would put it this way:
- you are definitely correct about the signals it sends
- whether readers feel insulted or not is individual
- I don't think that many feel insulted, because those that
get insulted by stuff like that would have dropped usenet
a long time ago
