Failing to install Turbo C++

Tried to install Turbo C++ - including the prereq.zip file - but keep
getting an error message "Unable to execute the specified command
line".
Any suggestions what is going on?

Well, it's probably just too old for your command lines. Try switching
to a newer compiler.

It seems they have.

I have to assume that all the Eclipse buzz has reconvinced MS and Borland
that IDEs are marketable. I think compilers should be pluggable into any
IDE rather than tied to a specific IDE, that's why I liked the command line
compiler offerings (I guess that's still possible, except now you have to
buy the IDE to get the CL compiler).
