I like reading discussions about programming, but to get the ball rolling on a forum, somebody has to ask a question.

I don't actually believe in AI. What people called a search engine, I called an index, what people now call AI, I call a search engine.

Either way, its sucking up all the starting points for a discussion.

I had an idea that a forum like this could be used to host a play-by-mail version of Dungeons & Dragons.

Just a thought.

Agreed, but fewer people ask questions now since AI can solve them immediately. Forum traffic has dropped a lot.

Traffic has dropped.

The kind of posts that have gone are the ones that can be answered by reading the manual, which is where AI/search shines.

There's not much left to talk about.

Arguments about which operating system is the best. (Haven't seen one of these for a while.)

A thread of 100+ messages trying to explain a thought Cinder can't quite get into words. (That was entertaining.)
