How to put multiple grids on tab strip control using asp.net

Dear fellows
i m new to asp.net, i have to develop a search engine for an intranet
application.
Currently we are using a client server applicaton using vb.net but i have
to convert this application for browser base.

I have no idea how to use multiple grids on Tab strip control, also i want
to know that how can i avoid round trips on server to fetch master detail
records.

I hope my senior experts will help me ..
