Why would you need Visual Web Developer?

ASP.Net 2.0 is available with .Net framework 2.0.
Get the 2.0 Runtime and SDK at:

Can I use the new controls with my VS2003?

When is the version of VS comming out?

What will be the main difference between Express en VS 2005 standard?
- I only want to program websites and webservices. It will be nice when the
code can be secured.

Hi Arjen:

You need the 2.0 runtime to use the 2.0 controls. They won't drop into
VS 2003. The next version is expected by the end of the year, you can
get a bit of a feel for the differences in this chart:
