Hello,
I've problem with integration IBM WPS and SAP R/3. At the detail,
there's probably a missundrestood about JCA architecute, so I would
like to ask, if anybody would explain it.
(Please correct me, if I'm wrong at any part)
We want to use Portlets in WebSphere Portal Server, which are
downloaded from WebSphere Portal Catalog. These portlets use WebSphere
Adapter for mySAP.com, which is built on JCA. The problem is, that we
have WPS with portlets on one server and WAS 5.0, where WebSphere
Adapter for mySAP.com is deployed, on another server, which is behind
the firewall. How the communication could be done between portlets and
this Adapter (generally resource adapter, based on JCA)? I mean if is
it possible of architecture, for example to call API of the connector
through RMI. I can imagine some solution, to write Session Bean or
Servlet around the adapter and these objects use as remote interfaces
(through RMI or HTTP) to any application, but it would mean to rewrite
those portlets, which as I expect, call directly some API of Adapter.
Am I right? Or totally confused
Thanks for any advice.
Best regards
