JMF converting .MPEG or .MOV to .RP (RealPlayer Video and Audio)

Hello!
I'm looking for the possibility to create RealPlayer Video and Audio -
Files from .MPEG or .MOV. JFM API doesn't support this. Perhaps there
is something by SUN or IBM? Or even RealNetworks?

My aim is to describe .MOV file, and save this description in SMIL, so
that I can later play the video in a web-browser.

hi,

JMF does not support this feature. You have to go directly to Realnetworks.
Real has a tool which is called Realproducer. This tool will create the rm
files for you. But be careful which operating system you are using. The
linux version is not equal to the windows version.
