Paging through single records one at a time - which bound control to use?

I'd like to be able to create a page that will allow for a single record
from a database to be shown with the columns laid out vertically on top of
each other and the data shown next to each column label horizontally,
similar to a Data Access Page from Access or the Data -> Form tool from
Excel.

I assume I'll probably need to somehow customize a Repeater or a DataList to
do this, but I'm looking for guidance on which control would be recommended.
