Position: J2ME Software Engineer - Contract
As a Software Engineer at MobiTV, you will have responsibility for
the following activities:
Product Implementation: Design, develop and implement the company’s
suite of applications such as MobiTV, XM Radio, MobiRadio on a variety
of handsets.
Product Definition: Work closely with Product Management team on
feature definition and with Engineering Management regarding Project
Schedules and Code Reviews.
Collaboration: Partner with QA for testing and bug triage, Operations
for deployment and releases.
Customer Focus: Work with OEMs to make their handsets Mobi-enabled.
Assist the Support and Sales teams with the investigation and
resolution of customer issues.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following
attributes:
Technically astute: Implement best engineering practices to make us a
best in class engineering organization.
Leadership: work with other to achieve your goals and objects.
Multitasking: Strong time-management, ability to multitask and manage
delivery several features and handsets at the same simultaneously.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Required:
2 to 3 years of Experience programming in J2ME
Experience in object oriented and independent design or applications
or systems
Desired:
Experience working with constrained devices and platforms
Experience working with XML and multi-media applications is desirable
J2MEUnit, Junit, regression testing, performance analysis, profiling
and benchmarking is preferred
Experience in Linux and networking protocols such as TCP/IP
Experience working on consumer facing applications
Experience with digital audio and video
