vertical alignment of the cell's contents ??

Hello,
I have set the vertical alignment of the cell to Top, but, dispite of it,
the content of the cell does not begin at the top of the cell. I have to ad
several carriage returns under the content so that it begins at the top of
the cell. I cannot understand why.

Chances are that you specified align=top and not valign=top.

Chances are that specified it in the TR tag instead of the TD tag.
