PS: The name is almost self explanatory.
comp.lang.c would be a better place for this question. However:
stdio.h = Std I/O . h which means
Standard Input/Output . header
this is the Java group. Ask about C in the C group. stdio stands for
"standard io". It gives the prototypes for the standard i/o methods,
e.g. fclose, fgetc, printf, remove, rename, setvbuf
