Animosity on the part of Mr Richard Heathfield

G

George Orwell

I would like to point out that Mr. Heathfield's hypocritical
moralizing is off-topic for comp.lang.c, since the C standard
doesn't define Mr. Heathfield's Golden Rule or some kind of
categorical imperative. Implementations with moral relativism
or extreme sociopathy are possible, so imposing moral absolutism
isn't portable. This newsgroup is for discussing C, not for
witnessing Mr. Heathfield's attempt to impose his moral views
and dogma on other posters. It seems Mr. Heathfield would rather
comp.lang.c be a preaching ground for religious conversions to a
religion whose teachings he himself doesn't follow.

We all know that the "regulars" are happy to dole out accusations of
being "off topic", but exempt themselves from the strictures they want
to impose on others.

But this case really is pretty blatant hypocristy - TOE was having a
perfectly civilized technical discussion, and Heathfield just comes
wading in all guns blazing dredging up past racist comments that were
completely irrelevant to the point at hand.

Time and again in this group, Heathfield has shown himself to be
anti-American and anti-semitic. He has carried on an ugly campaign of
hate against Jacob over several years. He is in no position to condemn
others for their intolerance.
