any pure HTML creator like SmartStore ?

Hi, I use the program SmartStore for our online-shop
and I'm now looking for a similar program for
creating "normal" sites.

The program shall be like a "CMS" but create
pure HTML code. no PHP ASP or.....

can someone help ?

You need to figure out what you want. No CMS that I know of generates
server-side code, but they do use it. The client sees plain HTML.

I have my own web-server, where I do not want
to have activate ASP or PHP running.

If you don't want to use any server-side programming, you won't be able
to run a CMS. Period.

There was one knocking around a couple of years ago that ran on the
desktop and uploaded a shed-load of HTML pages - no database stuff or
scripting at all. It was pricey, though, and looked a right pain to
use.

I think it's not that hard to set up PHP on your own server. Is your
concern security?

Lots of programs like ThumbsPlus create plain html for web photo albums,
you might be able to put additional info in the annotation/descriptions
to get what you want. I don't know about the shopping cart stuff though,
maybe some javascript can do that??
