Hi.
I'm using the ModelSim student edition 6.2 and Xilinx ISE software from the WebPack (version 9.1).
Usually, when I try to use ModelSim for simulation it works ok. However, when I tried to simulate a design consisting of several modules I got an error message telling me that ModelSim is shutting down with code 211 and the window shuts down after 10secs.
I read that this could be caused by license problems. I use the software downloaded from the companies' webpages so I don't think that's the case. Do you know what is the solution to the problem?
On a related note, the Xilinx ISE Simulator decided it didn't want to simulate my designs any more. Whenever I try to simulate something I get an error message saying that there was an attempt to read something from a nonexistent block in memory and the simulation stops. Any ideas here? I can provide the screens if necessary.
cheers,
palo
