Eclipse upgrade

Hi All, I have Eclipse 3.2.2 and would like to upgrade to the latest
version. The software update feature doesn't seem to help and I'm not
sure if I should download and install the latest version on top of my
existing one as I don't want to wipe out my existing environment.
So what is the recommended process for the upgrade?
