Halp finding a JS book that is for me

Jamiil

I am starting to learn JavaScript, and I would like to purchase a book
that will work for me. I am not very esoteric and I don't know much
about programming on the web, thus, I am looking for a book that will
have a lot of examples, but that will not patronize me.
I have experience working with object oriented languages so, a book
that will explain things in OOP will be most comfortable for me.
If there is such a book, would you please let me know?

Thanks in advance

It's a good idea to read the newsgroup and its FAQ. See below.

You probably can't go wrong with the only JavaScript book I own, David
Flanagan's "JavaScript The Definitive Guide", now in its 5th edition.
