Is it possible to target a layer in different html page within the same site.

Lionel

I am working on a site with pages that all have multiple layers.
At this point, I am trying to link one layer of one page to another
layer of another page.
Is it possible ?
If it is, can anyone tell me how?

Thanks in advance.

A what? http://dorward.me.uk/www/layers/

Link how? Draw a line between them after calculating their relative
positions in different frames? Simulate iframes, causing all their problems
but with much much worse browser support? Just get a reference in one
document to fiddle with style properties in the other?

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply.

I guess I should have been a little bit more precise...

I'm actually trying to link to a <div> in an html page from a href in
another html page.

The page I am trying to come back to has 3 <div>, each with a different
content.

My goal is to get a "back" effect from a different page. So far, when I
link back, the first <div> automaticaly comes up.

Thanks,

Lionel.

Hi David,
Thanks for your reply.

According to your message's headers, you are replying to yourself, not to
me. Did you hit reply while over the wrong message, or is your newsreader
broken?
