Is there a way to stop the little box of icons appearing when one "mouse
over" a pic on the page??

Yup. Don't use IE.

A bit rought, but right.
Well, IE has a setting somewhere under tools - internet options where you
can disable that box of icons. I can't recall exactly where, I'm out of MS
world and into linux.
