qtruby and pointers

Hi,

I'm newish to the whole qtruby thing, and I've run into an interesting
problem. I'm in a situation where I would like to use
http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.6/qgridlayout.html#getItemPosition , however
as you can see rather than the method returning anything, it's
referencing pointers with the return values. Does anyone know if it's
possible for me to make use of this method? I've tried looking for some
information on this, but it seems as though qtruby is highly
undocumented =/.
