Where are Cookies Files Stored in Vista now?

Alex Maghen

Hi. Please help. As a developer, I need to be able to clear and edit specific
cookies on my developer machine. In Vista (now with IE version 8 beta), I
have totally lost cookies. Where did they go? Your help is much appreciated.
I have looked around on Google and I have tried c:\users\xxx\AppData\**** (I
mean *everything* under the AppData directory, and I have found NOTHING!

Thanks.

Alex

Make sure hidden files and folders is enabled then try
c:\users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\ The
cookies don't have a separate folder anymore.

Hope this helps,

I've been using IECookiesView freeware from http://nirsoft.net/ Its been
very useful for managing cookies during development and we can point it at
whatever folder is needed --but-- it will not open the location recommended
by Mark.

My running copy will only load
c:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies
