How have apostrophe (single quote) show up?

In my dev environment the single quote/apostrophe shows up fine.

When I publish the site all the single quotes are missing.

Any ideas why?

Is there a special character I have to use for the single quote?

I used &#39 and it seems to work now. I wonder if I have to do this all the

You probably used a quotation mark (\u2018 or \u2019) instead of a plain
old apostrophe (\u0027), which was either dropped at compile or run time
due to incompatible encoding settings. Shouldn't happen as long as you use
ASP.NET's default settings.
