All the things which are shown before the first picture seem to be
more important, for example the link
"Kontakta Scaiecat Spa Gigi",

That "Kontakta" is already on the left in your menu. They'll never contact
you when it's not attractive
so I doubt whether it would be better
in this case to put the photos more on top of the page.
But what about aural browsers? Any suggestions?

Blind don't need beautiful pictures.

I do not think that it would be a good idea to replace it by
"kontakta" because the word would not say much out of the context
when it is saved by robots.

The "scaiecat-spa-gigi" is already in the URL.

I do not think that this is an argument. Besides I have already noticed that
it was not so easy to find "kontakta" on the left side, so that´s why I have
put it on the top too.

Pictures are only a part of the page, what I meant to ask you about is
whether the page is accessible to blind people and if not, what I would need
do make it accessible.

Maybe because you have to many items in your menu. Split it up in more
levels

I do not think that it is enough.

I doubt that. And the disadvantage of a page that is unattractive and
difficult to read is greater than a very small improvement of SEO
BTW, who's gonna search on scaiecat spa gigi kontakta??

Idly I drifted off into some of your other pages.

What does intermediation mean? It's not an Australian word I would use in
the following context:

<quote>
(even intermediation for rent exchange)
</quote>

You seem to use it all over the place in the English version of your site.

Cheers
Richard.
Do you really want to go there?

This was a topic of discussion when he originally posted in
alt.html.critique many moons ago.

A number of us spent time trying to convince him that it wasn't an
everyday word used in colloquial English - but to no avail.

regards.

What do you mean by " split it up" in more levels?
If I understand you properly I am not sure that this is such a good idea and
to let the user find a way to get in touch with me is perhaps the most
important thing of the site!
But, again, it had helped in this case if you had spoken Swedish and
understod the contents of the page.
That´s one reason why I mean that it seems easier for me to learn Web design
than for Web designers to learn all the languages in which my website is
written.

Some of them look really washed out (not enough contrast) compared to
the others. It would be useful to learn yet another skill with an
editing program like photoshop or paintshop pro. Learn curves if you
already have something.

The images are not sized down and loading more than they need to given
the dimensions in the html. Then some of them have gunk around the edges
or are not level or weird dirt & smudges that look like dirty walls.

Here's a quick stab at one of the rooms:
http://www.edgehill.net/vardagsrum

the code reads:
<img SRC="../bilder/vardagsrum.JPG"
ALIGN="LEFT" WIDTH="259,44" HEIGHT="178,48"

So the 576 pixel wide image is only being used at 279 pixels wide
27K versus 7K file size

May-be you checked it up before I changed it last.

Main menu about 6-8 items; When clicked: sub menus of max 6 items each
In that case the "Kontakta" is immediately noticed.
The http://www.accessibility.nl/amenu3/ is maybe interesting

Kontakta, Contact, it's in every language about the same (Swahili might be
an exception)

They only have to know one. The rest is translation I suppose

It's in your title too. Again, who do you expect to search for
scaiecat-spa-gigi kontakta???
Very few but the words might come under the title of some results in
some search engines.

If so, it's a good reason to put important information on top :)

If you are stubborn you are usually more ready to overcome
difficulties. It has helped me to learn a lot of languages for
example.
At the same time I am entitled to have my opinion as much as you are
entitled to have yours.

Of course :)
However, the result will be the same: an attractive site in conformity of
technical standards. Only thing is it takes a lot more time with a stubborn
man :0
Cheers, Nico
